The new course in Industrial Chemistry (LM / 71) will be activated in Bari next academic year, the second in the whole of Southern Italy.
This is a decisive step forward for the University of Bari, which will offer future students an important technical-scientific training in the various chemical sectors linked to industrial production. Chemical, environmental, biotechnological and industrial disciplines will be studied, as well as economics.
New figures requested in Puglia
According to Unioncamere data, Puglia is one of the most industrialized regions of the south , with a rapidly growing economy, especially as regards the chemical sector. It was the manufacturing companies of the Apulian territory themselves that requested new specialized figures to be hired. In fact, as explained by Angelo Nacci, coordinator of the chemistry course, “In this way we train a professional figure very welcome to the companies of the territory” , of which there are almost a thousand, distributed among small and medium-sized enterprises in the food, petrochemical, textile, wood and above all chemical and mechanical sectors.
The collaboration between Forethinking and Uniba
Considering the important collaboration started in recent years between Forethinking and the Department of Chemistry of Bari, it is essential to underline that, even this new degree course in Industrial Chemistry,will guarantee a prominent position in the environment, in the assessment of the life cycle and to sustainability
